I long ago realized the folly of thinking the United States was comprised mainly of the lost tribe of Manasseh and that England was comprised mainly of Ephraim’s descendants. My plea for a rational mind and good judgment was answered by our Lord long ago. God granted me the ability to think rationally, deeply and with very good judgment. That’s when I began reading only the Bible – no commentaries, no humanly authored books, etc., but only the scriptures – ALL OF THEM. I have read the entire Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 dozens and dozens and dozens of times – every word, every begat, every line. I have fifteen Bibles, most all heavily marked up with notes and highlighting. I have NO commentaries. I am as familiar with Zephaniah as with John’s gospel, as familiar with Haggai as with the Book of Romans. Only after I had read slowly and carefully every word of scripture three or four times did I begin to actually see what was contained therein. I examined the Hebrew, the Greek, the Aramaic. I even have a Jewish Bible I consult.
And as I read God’s Word false beliefs and concepts began to dissolve in my mind and thinking. I saw that morally good men erred greatly in some of what they believed and taught. I discovered that the truth could be known but that continued, uninterrupted full obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ was necessity to keep Satan at bay in his deceiving efforts. ALL sin had to be abandoned. Holiness and righteous character alone would close the door firmly against deception. “Sin not…neither give place to the devil” (See Ephesians 4:26-27). That is why there is so much doctrinal error embrace in the Christian world. All too many pastors, ministers, preachers, etc. KEEP SINNING – even teaching sin cannot be rooted out of a believer’s life! They keep the door open for Satan to come in at will and do his evil work. Brethren, these things ought not to be.
