“The Sabbath was given to Israel, not the church.”  That is error number one! The Sabbath was given TO MANKIND many hundreds of years before the man Israel was born and from whom the nation of Israel would spring. “The Sabbath was made FOR MAN” – not the Jew! (Mark 2:27). “Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:28).  Hence, the Sabbath is the Lord’s Day – NOT Sunday.  No scripture calls Sunday the Lord’s day! The Sabbath was instituted creation week – the seventh day of that week.  God “rested on the seventh day…And God blessed the seventh day, AND SANCTIFIED IT” (See Genesis 2:1-3).  No scripture ever de-sanctifies the seventh day.  No scripture sanctifies Sunday.  One can read the Bible carefully from Genesis 1:1 all the way through to Revelation 22:21. God NEVER removes His blessing from that day, and He NEVER places His blessing on Sunday or any other day of the week.  Those who think Paul himself taught God’s sanctification was removed from the Sabbath and placed on Sunday should implore God to reveal to them the true meaning of such texts as Romans 14:1-6; I Corinthians 16;1-4; Colossians 2:8-23 and Acts 20:7-11.

Satan is an expert at his craft – deception.  In order to get someone to accept and believe one of his lies, he will skillfully interweave truth and error in such a fashion that one will more easily fall for one of his lies. The Roman Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Amish and, yes, even the Baptists are in error concerning this doctrine. 

It is argued that Christians are not under the bondage of the Mosaic law, and that the Council of Jerusalem addressed this problem early on.  That IS true.  The Jerusalem Council’s meeting is found in the 15th chapter of Acts. But the Ten Commandments were not the Mosaic law.   

A lady (now dead) who lived across from me stopped me on the sidewalk one day a couple of years ago.  She had heard that I believed in keeping God’s commandments.  She told me, “as Christians we are no longer under the law, but under grace.”  I said, “What do you mean when you say we are not under the law?  Are you saying we are now free to lie, to steal, to kill and commit adultery?”  She looked flustered and said “No, I don’t mean that.”  I said, “Then what do you mean?”  Still appearing flustered and confused she answered me no more and walked on down the sidewalk.

Paul uses that phrase “not under the law” again in Galatians 5:18, writing “But if you are led of the Spirit, you are not under the law.”  Now notice carefully the very next words he writes: “Now the works of the flesh are manifest (easily identified), which are these: adultery, fornication (breaking the seventh commandment)…idolatry (breaking the first and second commandments)….murders (breaking the sixth commandment), and such like of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, THAT THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD” (See verses 19 through 21).  In its context, Paul is here saying we Christians are obligated by God’s clear decree to keep God’s commandments.  If we break those commandments we will not inherit the kingdom of God, for we will place ourselves back under the penalty of the law if we break God’s commandments!  

James cautions all who teach error that they will someday pay a heavy price for the errors they spread to unsuspecting believers.  (See James 3:1).  Decades ago I made the firm decision that I would keep God’s commandments and teach others to do the same.  I knew that decision would stir Satan’s wrath against me, but the Lord has delivered me again and again from Satan’s wrath and concerted efforts to deceive me into embracing his errors once more.  The One who has delivered me fifteen times will certainly deliver me twenty if need be.

There are passages in Paul’s letters to the Galatians, Colossians and Romans that many are certain show that God frowns upon Sabbath keeping as legalism. And we know, don’t we, that God despises those who try to keep His commandments? (And, of course, I am being quite facetious in making that statement). Just a few days before His crucifixion Jesus told a young man, who asked how someone could obtain eternal life, “If you will enter into life, keep the commandments.” When the young man asked, “Which?” the Lord began reciting the Ten Commandments word-for-word. (See Matthew 19:16-22). If Jesus didn’t know how to obtain eternal life, no one on earth has the correct answer!

Folks read into Paul’s writings things he never said. A good example of this is found in Romans 7 where many think Paul described himself as a carnal man, one who never could get a grip on sin in his life, lamenting the fact that he was sold under sin and a virtual enemy of God. How absurd, yet I have listened to several preachers via the Internet wherein they describe Paul in exactly those terms! It doesn’t surprise me that there are a lot of Christians who are woefully ignorant of the scriptures and that includes their pastors. That’s why there are dozens and dozens of differing denominations widely separated in what they believe and teach. Millions are as confused as to what Paul is saying in Colossians 2 as they are confused as to what he is actually saying in Romans 7.

Paul gives us excellent insight as to how he viewed the Sabbath in his letter to the Romans when he wrote, “Know ye not, brethren, for I speak to them that know the law, how that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives” (Romans 7:1). And in verse 7 he identifies for us the law he is speaking of by quoting a portion of that law, “Thou shalt not covet!” Note well, Paul says the Ten Commandments have dominion over a man as long as he lives! If you are still alive, God commands that you keep His sacred Ten Commandments, whoever you are – man, woman, Gentile, Jew, black or white. “For I delight in the law of God after the inward man (the hidden man of the heart)” (verse 22).  The apostle Paul was obeying the Lord in his delighting in the law as He knew God had said, “Call the sabbath a delight, the holy (day) of the Lord, honorable, and shalt honor Him” (See Isaiah 58:13).

“Do we then make void the law through faith? GOD FORBID ,yea, we establish the law” (Romans 3:31). Faith in Jesus Christ does not abolish the Ten Commandments. How absurd. The law of God is then established in our hearts. “Through breaking the law you do dishonor God!” (See Romans 2:23). “A man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law” (Romans 3:28). That tells us HOW we are justified. “For not the hearers of the law are justified, BUT THE DOERS OF THE LAW SHALL BE JUSTIFIED” (Romans 2:13). That tells us WHO is justified. God will not justify someone who continues to break the Ten Commandments. He just won’t do it.

“The works of his (God’s) hands are verity (truth) and judgment. ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE SURE. THEY STAND FAST FOR EVER AND EVER” (Psalm 111:7-8).  Note well, ALL God’s commandments are sure and stand fast forever and ever, including the sabbath commandment! God actually carved the Ten Commandments in stone with His own hands! (Exodus 32:16). The apostle Paul believed that with all his heart. (See Acts 24:14).

How is a Christian to follow our Lord’s COMMAND to “live by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God” if that Christian remains woefully ignorant of that Word most of his, or her, life??? God doesn’t expect everyone to have a Bible, or even the ability to read, but He DOES expect and demand that His earthly representatives be good stewards of that Word, that they know how to read and know what God’s Word says and teaches so as to instruct those in their charge as to the true doctrines of Jesus Christ and the church. For over fifty years Satan has tried again and again to convince me God abolished His holy Sabbath, replacing it with Sunday observance – the day honoring the Sun god. Satan has failed at every turn for when one knows the truth, the truth then makes them free from all such error Those who fail in this regard will give account to Jesus Christ someday and I am sure many of them will wish they had maintained a truly open mind and actually PROVEN as true every doctrine they had embraced and shared with others. There will be a lot of Christians who will deeply regret having given so little contemplation to God’s Word. God help you to understand.

One of the greatest blessings God ever gifted me with was the ability to THINK and think deeply.  For decades I did not have that ability.  I would do or say something that showed clearly I did not think at all before acting.  But my Creator was intent on redeeming me and bringing me into conformity to His will.  To do so, He knew He had to intervene and grant me the ability to think deeply, long and hard, before acting.  The ramifications of that faculty were and still are far reaching.  It enabled me not only to avoid habitual sin, it also enabled me to really begin comprehending and understanding the scriptures.  This became especially true regarding God’s holy, eternal Sabbath day.

I realized early on that basically good and honorable men and women could err and err greatly.  Devout and honorable people can be deceived and misled.  A person of good moral character can be utterly wrong in what they believe to be true.  (See Acts 13:50).  God had seen to it that in my life I interacted with Christians widely divergent in their religious beliefs and practices.  For a short time I played the organ for an Episcopal church in Lexington, Kentucky.  I later did the same for a Roman Catholic congregation.  In Houston, Texas I became friends with several Mormon families and even attended many Mormon Sunday services.  Raised in the Baptist tradition, I attended a small Baptist college in Lexington, Kentucky for one year.  Through the years I attended and participated in several Pentecostal services and meetings.  I realized that most of those with whom I interacted were basically good people, law-abiding citizens, and students of the Bible, yet I also discerned that they differed widely and dramatically in many of the doctrines they held to be true and supported by the scriptures.  I realized fully that the human mind is, therefore, prone to deception and error.  This, of course, included my own mind.  I then knew I had to do two things in order to free up my mind from error and to come fully into the knowledge of spiritual truth: 1) I had to depart from sin, once and for all making my repentance genuine and complete, and 2) I had to search the scriptures – all of them, New AND Old Testaments, diligently and with a completely open mind, permitting God’s Word to sweep away all error from my mind and instill in me His eternal truth.

I read the four gospel accounts (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) dozens and dozens of times slowly and carefully, examining every word therein.  Often referring to an English/Greek New Testament to verify the deepest meaning of every word therein.  I noticed that John mentioned the Sabbath eleven times in his gospel account, never once calling it the “Jewish” Sabbath, yet he does speak of the “Jewish” Passover, the “Jew’s” Feast of Tabernacles, and the “Jew’s” Preparation Day.  Twice he mentions “a feast of the Jews.”  But he never once refers to God’s holy, eternal Sabbath as being the “Jewish” Sabbath.  I noticed that Mark recorded the statement that Jesus Christ had said the Sabbath “was made for man.”  (See Mark 2:27).  I also noticed that the Greek word translated as “man” in that verse is the Greek word anthropos (pronounced anthro-‘POS), meaning “mankind.”  That Greek word is the root word from whence we get the word anthropology – the study of mankind!  The Sabbath was sanctified and hallowed at creation centuries before there was ever a Jew on this earth.  (See Genesis 2:1-3).  I then realized that when preachers, ministers, pastors referred to “the Jewish Sabbath” they were in error and thereby misleading their hearers, however unwittingly.

The vital importance of keeping the Sabbath from God’s perspective, observing those hours as holy time, is seen in the punishment Sabbath breaking brought upon Israel – the destruction of the holy city of Jerusalem and the destruction of God’s own temple.  (See Jeremiah Chapter 17).  To His rebel nation God said, “Even from the days of your fathers you are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them” (See Malachi 3:7).  Sadly, God now says the same to the Christian world!  Sabbath observance was abandoned long ago by multitudes of professing Christians.  What God long ago said to His people Israel He now says of the Christian world: “They hold fast to deceit; they refuse to return.”  (See Jeremiah 8:5).  Trying to get a Sunday observer to abandon Sunday keeping and embrace once again God’s holy, eternal Sabbath day is generally a lost cause.  They just will not do it.  Here and there they have a scripture they think supports them in their rebellion.  Looking about them, they say, “All these people can’t be wrong!”  They forget that scripture warns: “Satan deceives THE WHOLE WORLD!” (See Revelation 12:9).

Do I appreciate what God has done for me?  Yes, enough to forego much needed sleep and rest and to clean urinals and toilets six days a week in order to generate a few dollars to underwrite the cost of getting God’s Word out to as many as possible before I close my eyes in death.  Yes, I appreciate what God has done for me.  My Creator and I have a good relationship.  He does for me what I cannot do for myself and I do for Him all that time and my limited resources will allow.  Yes, my God and I are at peace with one another.

If my articles sent to these hundreds of pastors do nothing else, I have no doubt that it is getting at least some of them to THINK.  When I categorically state that Jesus Christ was NOT resurrected on Sunday, I’m sure some of them think, “Whaaat?” and dust off their Bibles and start flipping through the four gospels cocksure they will find the several times the scriptures say He rose from the dead the first day of the week, which of course is Sunday.  They go to Matthew’s account, chapter 28, and read how Mary Magdalene and the other Mary arrived at the tomb “as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week” and find that Jesus is ALREADY GONE!  They are then confronted by an angel who tells them ‘”HE IS NOT HERE FOR HE IS RISEN AS HE SAID!”  And HOW did He SAY He would be resurrected?  He SAID He would remain in the tomb for three days and three nights.  Therefore, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that if He was placed in the tomb at sunset, then three days and three nights later would conclude at sunset – not sunrise!

Those pastors who THINK can then go to Mark, Luke and John’s accounts, read them slowly and carefully and might say, “Well, I’ll be….Nowhere does it say He arose from the dead on Sunday!”  One or two of them – hopefully more – might ask themselves, “Then WHY are we worshiping on Sunday and calling Sunday a holy day or God’s new sabbath?”  One or two of the more astute might notice that the angel told the women that Jesus after rising had left Judea and gone to Galilee, probably to console his beloved mother and reveal to her that He was indeed resurrected from the dead.  (See verse 7, Mark 16).  It then dawns on them that is where He had been for the several hours that had elapsed between His being resurrected at sunset the previous evening and His first appearing to Mary Magdalene and later to the other disciples later Sunday morning IN JUDEA!

Folks, the Holy Spirit will guide any redeemed believer out of their deceptions and into the marvelous truth of scripture IF he, or she, turns from any and all their sins, swallows their pride, and then searches the scriptures in a minute fashion in order to find and obey the truth.  Most will not do that as they believe they can’t stop sinning.  Therefore they don’t stop.  I mean if you firmly believe you cannot stop sinning it naturally follows you are not going to stop.  And again the thought will pop into their heads, “All these great men of God, these mighty theologians of the past and present can’t be wrong!”  They’re right.  Not all of them are wrong.  Many see clearly that Jesus could not have been resurrected on Sunday, but they are, of course, in the minority.

John Piper sermon (a supposed theologian and seminary professor) just a day or so ago assured his congregation that every one of them was sinning continuously and probably all of them had sinned in just the past hour.  He is absolutely certain that is the very best God provided for us in Christ Jesus, that we will all still continue sinning HOURLY!  If that is not a satanic teaching, I don’t know what is.

We are living in a terrible time and age. The Dark Ages did not end a thousand years ago. They began with the death of the last of our Lord’s apostles and they have continued since that day. The apostle Paul warned that evil men and seducers would grow worse and worse (See 2 Timothy 3:13). Note well, he didn’t say things would get better and better but worse and worse. That has been happening for two thousand years! How much error and spiritual confusion do you think now exists in the various “Christian” assemblies around the world, because Paul was referring to error spreading throughout Christianity and growing worse with each passing decade. Every Christian minister feels certain God has called him to preach his denomination’s particular brand of Bible doctrine. The Presbyterian minister preaches doctrines far different than those doctrines preached by the pastor of an Assembly of God church.  Likewise, the Baptist minister will disagree with much of what an Amish elder preaches.

Each passing generation has seen preachers build upon and perpetuate the errors of the previous generation and then say, “All these Bible scholars can’t be wrong! We would have discovered our error by now if we were indeed preaching and teaching error!” Friend, the Mormon elder thinks in that same fashion as well as the Roman Catholic priest and the protestant preachers of each and every denomination. The average preacher has not even begun to grasp the blinding power of Satan and how good he is at what he does.

I am certain none of Christ’s apostles would be permitted to speak in the average Christian church today. As soon as they opened their mouths and it was discerned what they were saying, they would be shouted down, called heretics and escorted out the door of the church and told not to return.  Their congregations would be told, “Close your ears when that man speaks.  Read nothing he might write!”

In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, he wrote: “This you know that ALL they which are in Asia (Minor) have turned away from me” (See 2 Timothy 1:15). Do you know what early churches were in Asia Minor? Ephesus was one of them. We read Paul’s letter to the Ephesians and think those believers continued on with the Lord and in the truth. They did not! Or do you think Paul made false charges against such believers?  Paul told the Colossian congregation how he had a great conflict for them as well as the congregation at Laodicea, another congregation in Asia Minor. (See Colossians 2:1).  He felt them slipping away even then.

Paul also told Timothy, “If we (we apostles, we ministers, we believers) deny Him, HE WILL ALSO DENY US!” (See 2 Timothy 2:12). How well do you think that statement would go over in the average Christian church today? “If we believe not (saying that could never happen), yet He abides faithful (to His previous warnings). He cannot deny Himself.” (Jesus cannot deny that he said, “But WHOSOEVER (apostle, minister, believer) shall deny me before men, him also will I deny before my Father which is in heaven..” (See 2 Timothy 2:13 with Matthew 10:33). How many  preachers today would dare proclaim those words from the pulpit? They will say just the opposite. Charles Stanley said a Christian can deny Christ, even abandoning Christianity for Islam and would still be saved and have eternal life!!!  He had no comprehension whatsoever of what Paul meant when he wrote that believers are “sealed” by the Holy Spirit. (See Ephesians 1:13-14 and Ephesians 4:30).

Satan is good at what he does, brethren, very, very good. He took out one apostle, Judas, and came perilously close to taking out the one to whom Jesus gave the keys to the kingdom. Remember how Jesus warned Peter, “Satan has desired to have you that he might sift you like wheat!” (See Luke 22:31-32). Three times with ranting and cursing Peter denied Jesus Christ on the night of His betrayal, saying, “I don’t know the man.” He truly repented. Judas never did. Had he not repented, Jesus would have said of him what He said of Judas, “It would be better had Peter never even been born!”

You do no violence to the scriptures if you place YOUR OWN NAME in Luke 22:31-32. Satan has desired to have YOU that he might sift you like wheat. And he is doing his sifting even now. How much truth has he sifted out of your mind, leaving only error – clever error, error that on the surface appears to be pristine truth?  “Be sober, be vigilant, because YOUR adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour” (I Peter 5:8).  That is no idle, nonsensical warning.  Believers, like Demas and Judas can be devoured by Satan.  They can be deceived, seduced, led astray, and drawn into all manner of sin and error. And, yes, Satan long ago desired to have me. And, boy, did he come close to accomplishing his desire in Donald Wiley’s life for he did, indeed, have me for his own for several decades, but, thanks be to God, our Lord broke through the fog of error and fleshly passion and led me into the way of life eternal. I shall be forever grateful for His having done so. I can’t live long enough or serve Him well enough to show my appreciation. But I can try.

When we say something is written in stone we are speaking about its’ having the quality of permanence.  Did you know there is one part of God’s Word that was originally written in stone and by the very finger of God Himself?  And when that portion of God’s Word was destroyed by none other than Moses, God rewrote that portion and again wrote it in stone with His own finger!

“And He (God) gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon Mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, WRITTEN WITH THE FINGER OF GOD” (Exodus 31:18).  “And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables” (Exodus 32:16).

These stone tablets were smashed to pieces by a frustrated Moses shortly after he had received them from the hand of God, as “it came to pass he came nigh unto the camp that he saw the calf (the golden idol calf that Aaron had made), and the dancing.  And Moses anger waxed hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mount” (Exodus 32:19).

“And the Lord said unto Moses, ‘Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and I WILL WRITE UPON THESE TABLES the words that were in the first tables, which you broke'” (Exodus 34:1).

And just what was written on those two tablets?  “And He (God) wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS” (See Exodus 34:28).

Notice that after smashing the first two tablets, Moses was ordered by God to carve out two replacement tablets, yet still God Himself re-wrote the Ten Commandments with His own finger!

There is one other interesting and very revealing circumstance involved in the giving of the Ten Commandments: “And the Lord spoke unto you out of the midst of the fire (on top of Mount Sinai).  YOU HEARD THE VOICE of the words, but saw no similitude (no shape, no physical manifestation), only YOU HEARD A VOICE.  And He declared unto you His covenant, which He commanded you to perform, even Ten Commandments, and He wrote them upon two tables of stone” (Deuteronomy 4:12-13).

The entire nation of Israel stood transfixed as the voice of their Creator God boomed from Mount Sinai the Ten Commandments one after another.  But a voice becomes only a memory when no more is spoken, so God, with His own finger, wrote the Ten Commandments on one of the few substances that can last through the ages – solid stone!

Thousands of years later when Jesus Christ began His public ministry, in His first recorded sermon, He begins citing the Ten Commandments and says plainly and clearly that as long as heaven and earth endures not one iota of the Ten Commandments will ever be changed!  (See Matthew 5:17-28).

So, folks, common sense screams in my ear that there must be a great and awesome deceiving spirit power at work to convince good-hearted, clean-living, well-intentioned Christians that one of the Ten Commandments was definitely changed, the only commandment that God with His own finger prefaced with the word REMEMBER, “remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy!”  And, of course, Satan has scriptures he directs men and women to recall that seemingly, on the surface, tend to show that God did change the Sabbath to Sunday.  He blinds them to the fact that God Himself wrote the Ten Commandments twice with His own finger.  He blinds them to the fact that the oral recitation of the Ten Commandments was the ONLY time Israel heard the voice of God.  He blinds them to the fact that the fourth commandment, the Sabbath commandment is the only one of the ten God emphasized must be remembered.  And he blinds them to Jeremiah 17, Isaiah 56, Matthew 5, and a host of other scriptures that clearly reveal God’s holy, eternal Sabbath can never be changed in any way.  He blinds them to Peter’s written warning that the apostle Paul wrote some things not easily understood and that those who neglected using the Hebrew scriptures to formulate their doctrine and spiritually unstable would be led to believe Paul was saying something he was not saying at all in some of the epistles he wrote.  (See 2 Peter 3:15-17).

So, does Satan really exist?  Is he still at work today in this modern space-age world blinding and deceiving intelligent, sincere, God-fearing men and women?  Indeed, He does exist and he most certainly is still doing his thing today all around this planet 24/7.  We need to take heed to one other warning given us by the apostle Peter: “Be sober, be vigilant, because YOUR adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom (anyone, anywhere, at any time) he may devour” (See I Peter 5:8).  Fail to heed that warning and you will pay dearly for it just as dearly and quickly as you would suffer loss should you fail to heed a posted warning sign saying, “Bridge Out Just Ahead.”

I don’t want a single son or daughter of Adam to miss out on what a loving, super-intelligent Creator has awaiting those who will love Him back and obey Him, for those who will allow Him to mold and fashion them in His character and spiritual image.

Did you think God just got around to creating things with this earth and this universe?  I assure you He’s been exercising the art of creating for a long, long time – throughout all eternity past!  He was creating wonders trillions of ages ago.  “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard what God has prepared for them that love Him” (I Corinthians 2:9).  “For THIS is the love of God, that we keep His commandments and His commandments are not grievous (not a burden, not a yoke of bondage)” (I John 5:3).

The elect of God have an invitation not just to a banquet, not to just a marriage supper, not just to heaven.  They have an invitation to share in and enjoy something that the most brilliant human author could not write about if gifted with the ability to write in the most superlative fashion and given a thousand years to put it into words.  And time is running out to qualify for the best position available.  The apostle Paul said he pressed toward the mark for the high calling of God that is offered to any born human who will bow to His Son Jesus Christ as the absolute Lord of their day-to-day existence.  And do you want to know my personal opinion?  I think he qualified.  That is why he was caught up to the third heaven and heard things from His Lord’s lips that is not lawful for a man to utter, for a man should not pat himself on the back or boast.  That should be left to others.

Don’t get too wrapped up in this present evil world.  It is all going to burn someday.  Fix your eyes and your heart upon doing the will of God at all costs.  Your eternal reward for doing so is absolutely mind-boggling.  There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth from those who realize what could have been their eternal inheritance had they only surrendered their all to their well-deserving Lord.  Brethren, I urge you, do not be found in the company of such on resurrection day.

Bruce Jenner can change his name to Caitlyn, Darla Mae, Lulabell, or Suzanne.  He can have enough hormone replacement therapy to make Dolly Parton envious of his upper torso.  He can wear lipstick, high heels and a frilly pinafore.  He will still be a male member of the human species.  He can cut off body parts and throw them in the waste basket.  He can grow his hair until it reaches down to the street.  Biologically he will still be a man.  His chromosomes and body cells will remain unchanged.  He will never have to worry about uterine cancer or wonder if his non-existent womb will ever accommodate triplets.  Bruce Jenner was never a female trapped in a male’s body.  He was born a male and he will die a male, perhaps missing  a few body parts, but still as much a male as the war hero who returns home missing a few body parts, too.

The transgender suicide rate is 40% while across the board the suicide rate among Americans as a whole is but 4%.  The confused and deluded dude who thinks he’s a girl and the equally messed up girl who thinks she is a guy will find that life is a harsh teacher.  Somewhere down the road of life many of them conclude, “Oh, that was a bad idea.”  And they become so depressed and delusional they commit suicide.

There is a genetic component to gender that cannot be changed.  It is biologically impossible for a man to transition into a woman and vice versa.  If a transgender couple marries and have children, the one that bears the child will always and ever be the one who was born with female reproductive organs.  A transgender person is NOT the sex they claim to be.  They can assume the appearance of the opposite sex, dress like the opposite sex, walk, talk and act like the opposite sex, but they will NEVER, NEVER be the opposite sex.

The transgender person says, “I am not a cross dresser.  I am transgender.”  That is as meaningless and as idiotic as my saying I am not a human being.  I am an alien from a distant planet.  I definitely am not an alien from some other planet and to insist I am reveals that I am either delusional or mentally ill.  

“So, God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them” (See Genesis 1:27).  It took thousands and thousands of years for rebellious, satanically deceived men to ever even entertain the idea that man could tinker with God’s creation and change a male into a female and vice versa.  And how pathetic is their attempt.  “Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap, for he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption….” (See Galatians 6:7-8).  Try to change what God has done, friend, and you will pay in spades for your folly.  And, God have mercy on you  should you make such a futile attempt.

There are not three genders.  There are but two.  For a male to say he is actually a female, or for a female to say she is actually a male is as delusional as a human saying they are an alien being from outer space.  If someone insists they are an alien being, not really human, we know they are either delusional or mentally ill.  Biological testing will easily prove that such a person is not an alien being but human to the core.  Likewise, biological testing will prove that the man, who says he is a woman, is actually and fully and truly a male member of the human species.

Genetic testing, also known as DNA testing, will easily prove that a male is just that, a male, and a female is biologically and truly a female.  The male’s bodily fluid will evidence both an “X” and a “Y” chromosome in each cell, while a female will have a duplicate (XX) chromosome in each cell.  Only females have two of the same kind of sex chromosomes.

A male member of the human species may find other males attractive and a female member of the human species may find other females attractive.  This, in and of itself, is not sinful though one might say it is not normal, for the norm is a male to be attracted sexually to the female.  A husband may find other women attractive, but this, in and of itself, is not sinful.  Only if the husband expresses his desires toward another woman overtly or physically has he sinned.  The same would hold true, of course, for the wife. 

But when a male insists they are actually a female trapped in a male body, though that belief might not be sinful, it is utterly a delusion of the greatest magnitude.  If someone insists they are actually an alien being from Mars or some other planet, no one in their right mind takes them seriously but realizes the person making such an assertion is not in their right mind.

The Bible does not address the transgender issue for the same reason the Bible does not address the “I’m a Martian” issue.  The Bible ignores the nonexistent and impossible.  Although the Bible speaks of eunuchs, castrated men, it nowhere speaks of anything that could remotely be considered transgender.  It states flatly and categorically at the very outset in Genesis Chapter One that God made humans male and female (PERIOD).  If one is born a male, that is what they are a male.  If one is born a female, that is what they are and ever shall be, a female.  A male can no more become a female than a human can become an alien from the planet Jupiter.  I’m not mixing apples and oranges here.  That is what the delusional transgender does.

Gender dysphoria, or gender identity disorder, is a diagnosis of comparatively recent origin.  Historically human beings were not plagued with this disorder.  A man who insisted he was a female a couple of hundred years ago would probably have been locked up in a mental institution or burnt at the stake.  Thankfully we are past that, but now many societies, not all, have swung in the opposite direction and have accepted the transgender delusion as both normal and acceptable.

When a male insists that he be referred to by the use of female pronouns such as she or her, that person is demanding that you participate in and encourage their delusion.  That person has a choice to use whatever pronouns they wish when referring to themselves.  They do not have the right or privilege to insist that I do the same, especially when it is contrary to my conscience and moral beliefs.

If you longed desperately to be and become a hundred years old, what would prevent you from doing so?  I mean if you wanted to join that group of Americans that have reached their hundredth year of life, why couldn’t you?  Let’s say you are twenty years old right now.  What’s to stop you from being a hundred years old?  Eighty years – that’s what.  It is impossible for a twenty year old person to identify as and be a hundred year old individual without living an additional eighty years.  Likewise, it is impossible for a male to be or become a female or vice versa.  A cat can’t become a dog, nor can a boy become a girl.  It’s that simple.  Nothing complex about it.  It just cannot be done.  No one can magically change into something they are not.  A man can pretend to be a woman, can masquerade as a woman, can use cosmetics, clothing, and affect the mannerisms of a woman, but, alas, that man is not a woman and never can be a woman.

Many of my own generation remember a man named George Jorgensen, one of the first people in the history of humanity who had sex reassignment surgery and supposedly became a woman, changing his name to Christine Jorgensen.  He never bore a child.  His chromosomes never were changed from that of a male.  Had he left his DNA on some object and investigators not knowing George Jorgensen, or Christine Jorgensen, had left the DNA, upon laboratory testing they would have concluded that a man, not a woman, left their DNA on the object.  Cutting off body parts, having plastic surgery on the genitalia, and injecting one’s self with various hormonal treatments does not change one’s sex.  It produces a human oddity, some would even say a freak.  That’s all it could do.

Referencing a man as “her” or “she” does not make that man a woman.  One might say you are rude for not calling that man “he” or “she” if that is what they desire, still he is still a he and will remain so for the remainder of his life.

I sympathize with those who claim to be transgender.  Their lives, for the most part, must be quite depressing.  I feel for such.  Their fellowship with their Creator must be tenuous at best if not totally non-existent, and that is tragic in the extreme.

This is how many read Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved by faith alone, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of obedience, lest any man should boast.” No scripture says we are saved by faith alone! And Ephesians 2:9 says nothing about obedience. It says not of “works”, e.g. sacrifices, meat and drink offerings, washings, cleansings, circumcision, etc. In Acts 5:32 we are informed that God gives His Holy Spirit “to them that OBEY Him.” And one cannot be saved without God’s Holy Spirit. Christ said, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish! (See Luke 13:5). Faith cannot save you except you repent, so faith alone cannot save. Spiritually deceived men and women pervert the words and meaning of Ephesians 2:8-9.

The only time the Bible speaks of faith alone it warns that type of faith IS DEAD! (See James 2:14-26). True living faith, the faith imparted to a repentant believer, generates obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ much as fire generates light and heat. Read Hebrews chapter 11 slowly and carefully and notice how true God-wrought faith produces action, a trust in God so profound as to captivate the total self in service to God and His work on earth. True, living faith is never alone. It is God’s dynamo for accomplishing His plan of the ages. God help you to understand is my fervent prayer.
