Islam’s vow to deliver up this entire world to Allah’s rule and devotion is no idle threat. In fact, your Bible testifies quite clearly and unmistakably that this will indeed occur, no, not in your lifetime, perhaps not in the lifetime of your children or grandchildren, but before Jesus’ return Islam will become the one world religion spoken of in the Book of Revelation. (See Revelation Chapter 13).

I purchased and read my first Koran (Quran) over thirty-five years ago, reading every word in it again and again. That is when the Lord opened my eyes to see that the “beast” of Revelation is Islam and “the false prophet” of Revelation is Roman Catholicism. These two false religions will join hands at the very close of the age, shortly before Christ’s return. Satan is the author and preserver of both of these error-filled, murderous religions.

In the 23rd chapter of Luke’s gospel account, verses 11 and 12, we read these words: “And Herod with his men of war set Him (Jesus Christ) at nought, and mocked Him and arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him to Pilate (for sentencing), and the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together for before they were at enmity (hostile) between themselves.” Satan, in order to get Jesus put to death, moved in the minds and hearts of these two evil men, who formerly had hated one another, to make them move in agreement against their common foe, Jesus Christ. The citizens of this evil world, living at the close of the age, are going to see some strange bedfellows – Roman Catholicism and Islam – united! These two entities, who despise and hate one another now, will eventually embrace and unite forces to stamp out all other religions. Many believers can easily see Roman Catholicism in the prophecies of Revelation. Few see Islam, and, of the two, Islam is the most dangerous and destructive.

Roman Catholicism has a long endurance record – centuries longer than Islam. Roman Catholiism will not allow herself to be engulfed and annihilated by Islam. Roman Catholicism has long been a great compromiser If various South American peoples and South American Indians are deeply attached to their ancient religious beliefs Roman Catholicism simply incorporates them into their religion. If Rome had to force a pope (Pope Benedict XVI) into retirement in order to appease Islam, Rome did so.

This present generation will not be on the scene when Roman Catholicism and Islam unite. The generation to follow might not live long enough to see this occur, but I assure you, this unification will come to pass. God help you to understand.

• Do you know how many times Jesus Christ is called “High Priest” in the Book of Hebrews?  TWELVE TIMES!(See Hebrews 2:17; Hebrews 3:1; Hebrews 4:14, 15; Hebrews 5:5, 10; Hebrews 6:20; Hebrews 7:26, 28; Hebrews 8:1; Hebrews 9:11; Hebrews 10:21),Throughout the scriptures, beginning with Aaron forward, in order to be anointed high priest one first had to have been a priest.  No one who was not in the priesthood could enter the office of high priest.  When in verse 9 of Hebrews 1, we read: “You (Jesus) have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity, therefore God (the Father), EVEN YOUR GOD, has anointed you with the oil of gladness (making Him High Priest) above your fellows (Greek, “companions” – companion PRIESTS!).Jesus’ function and office right now is that of High Priest.  He is also King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  He remains, of course, our Savior.  But scripture plainly states that “Jesus (is) made an High Priest FOR EVER…” (See Hebrews 6:20). 
  Jesus said, “All things are delivered unto me of my Father, and no man knows the Son, but the Father.  Neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whosoever the Son will reveal Him” (See Matthew 11:27).Only divine revelation can suffice to reveal to any human mind the identities of God the Father and Jesus Christ, careful searching of the scriptures alone will not be sufficient.  To be continued….

AMERICA’S CONTINUING PERIL! (First published August 17, 2022)

The Democratic leadership of this country reminds me of the fool who keeps tormenting the caged man-eater tiger by prodding him with a large stick utterly unaware that the door to the tiger’s cage is ajar. We send delegation after delegation to Taiwan knowing full well that we are antagonizing the Chinese government by such actions. We send just enough military hardware to Ukraine to antagonize Russia yet insufficient to enable Ukraine to win its war with that military giant.

And then America and the world at large are faced with the Muslim dilemma. That hornets’ nest is not going away, but will grow only more vexing and troublesome with each passing year. The government and the media are not oblivious to the fact that the many fires across this nation most certainly were not caused by climate change. Most such fires are set by human beings, not by an air temperature of 580 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightning and falling power lines might be the cause of a small number of these fires, but only a small number. Neither the government or the media are unaware of the well publicized call to Muslims to start such fires. A Bic lighter can be used to do as much, if not more, damage than a hundred IED’s or land mines!

The question to ask is not why has God’s hand been removed from this nation, but what can we do to get it back. And the Word of God answers that question quite plainly.

A follower of Jesus Christ must realize that in the mind of God a headache is no different from brain cancer and a minor rash no different than a severe case of shingles.  Scripture urges believers to “put on the mind of Christ” for this reason as well as other reasons.  Any person truly used as a pastor by Jesus Christ to shepherd, guide and instruct a congregation of God’s people must have this mindset.  “Is ANYONE sick (notice the severity of the sickness does not enter in at all here)?  Let him call for the elders (plural – Christ’s true assemblies do NOT have single pastors or elders), and let THEM pray (the prayer OF LIVING FAITH) over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord (as indication they believe Jesus Christ is doing the healing), and the prayer of (true, living, believing) faith WILL (not “might”) save the sick, and the Lord will raise him (or her) up.”  (See James 5:14-15).  And then verse 16 adds, “Confess your trespasses to one another (if you have sinned against a brother or sister), and pray for one another, THAT YOU MAY BE HEALED (as unconfessed and unforsaken sin hinders and obstructs God from acting).  The effective, fervent prayer OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN avails much.”

Many modern day church elders/pastors are not righteous men and they know it.  Therefore their prayers are ineffective.  Many congregations have abandoned following James’ counsel because they found it doesn’t work for them.  It doesn’t work for them for two reasons: they lack living, vital faith when praying and they live unrighteous lives, continually practicing some sin or sins that impedes their prayers.  Then again many assemblies are filled with unconverted members, men and women who actually do not possess God’s mighty Holy Spirit.  Ditto for many pastors.  So they argue, “Oh, that advice was given long before we had doctors and modern medicine.  Now that we have skilled surgeons and physicians and the pharmaceutical companies we can ignore James’ counsel and instruction.”  Then again many pastors have deluded themselves into thinking God “called” them to preach and shepherd a congregation when such is not the case at all.  They might mean well.  They might be faithful husbands and excellent parents, but they ain’t Jesus Christ’s true representatives.

Think on the above.  I have NOT misquoted scripture.  I have NOT taken anything out of context.  I have given you the plain and simple truth of God’s inspired Word.

In the 17th chapter of the Book of Acts there is recorded for our learning a visit the apostle Paul made to Athens, Greece.  Standing on Mars Hill in that city Paul said, “Ye men of Athens……God made the world and all things therein…..He gives to all life, and breath, and all things, and has made of one blood (bloodline) all nations of men (we can ALL trace our ancestry back to Adam and Eve) for to dwell on the face of the earth and has determined the times before appointed and the bounds of their habitation…” (See Acts 17, verses 22 thru 26).

God determined beforehand the exact time in human history when colonists in America would sever their relationship with the crown in England and declare this to be an independent sovereign nation.  He, likewise, predetermined the boundaries of this great nation, that it would stretch from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, and to the 49th parallel bordering Canada, and that our southern border would be with Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico.  He has also determined when this nation shall fall and no longer be a sovereign power on earth!!!!

The Babylonian Empire endured for 67 years (606-539 B.C.)  The Medo-Persian Empire endured for 208 years (539-331 B.C.)  The Greek Empire lasted for 185 years (331-146 B.C.), and the Roman Empire ruled for an incredible 622 years (146 B.C. to 476 A.D.)  This nation, America, has now endured for 240 years!  It, too, like the ancient empires cited above, will someday fall.  Just as the sands in the hourglass of our life are falling swiftly through the tiny aperture, so, too, the sands are falling swiftly through the aperture of the “hourglass” that depicts America’s life as a sovereign nation.  Our days truly are numbered.  Is our end to come in our lifetime, or that of the next generation, or a generation more distant still?  Know this: That end will surely come.  We, whose true citizenship is in heaven, need not be overly concerned with such matters.  We are but pilgrims here. sojourners enroute to the eternal kingdom of God.  So, take heart, for we seek a city whose builder and maker is God.  Our hope is in the future, not the present or the past.

•  Any time anyone says something contrary to what Jesus Christ said and taught they are anti-Christ, or against Christ in such a matter.  Of course those who do teach and influence others to believe doctrines contrary to what Jesus and His apostles taught do imperil their eternal inheritance.  Jesus said that those who “break one of the least of these (ten) commandments, and teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of God” (See Matthew 5:19).  Paul spoke of those who would be saved “yet so as by fire,” suffering the loss of some, maybe all, of the eternal rewards they might have had if they had only been obedient and true to the teachings of God’s Word.  (See I Corinthians 3:15).
• To assume you are right in some matter can prove to be quite costly if indeed you are wrong.  To assume your aircraft has been adequately fueled can prove fatal if the gas tanks are almost empty.  To assume the ice on a pond is more than sufficient to hold your weight can be quite costly if the ice proves to be less than a quarter inch thick.  And to assume you are walking in the truth and honoring God and His Word can be very costly if in fact you have no real understanding in some matter of scripture. Baptist Bible colleges crank out Baptist preachers.  Episcopalian seminaries crank out Episcopalian priests.  Pentecostal and Amish schools spew out……..well, you get the picture.  It is quite obvious these folks are not really “proving” all things of a spiritual nature for, if they were doing so, you would see them all coming together in one great body of believers, all believing and teaching the same thing, no longer identifying themselves as Baptist, Amish, Episcopalian, Methodist, etc.
• I make no apology for the fact that I am a teacher of God’s Word.  I am not a pastor, a prophet, or a priest.  Long ago God instilled in my innermost being a hunger and thirst for His Word as well as a deep and abiding understanding of His Word.  As stated many times before, I am a mere sower of seed.  I do not reap.  I say what God’s Word says distinctly and clearly as well as forthrightly and without apology to anyone.  I let the chips fall where they may.  That is my calling, my gift, my ministry, my service to the Lord and His kingdom.  With my Lord, I say, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

• Did you know there are two passages of scripture, one in the New Testament and one in the Old Testament, that clearly identify for us which day of the week is the Lord’s day?  Here is the New Testament passage: “For the Son of Man is Lord EVEN OF THE SABBATH” (See Matthew 12:8).  If the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, is LORD of the Sabbath, then the Sabbath is clearly the Lord’s day! Now look at the Old Testament passage that declares the same truth: “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath (that is, quit trampling on it), from doing your pleasure (whatever you please) on MY holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight (NOT a yoke of bondage), the holy DAY OF THE LORD, honorable (a sacred day), and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, and speaking your own words, THEN (and only then) you shall delight yourself in the Lord (learn how REAL He can be in your day to day existence)…..the mouth of the Lord has spoken” (See Isaiah 58:13-14).So which day of the week is called the Lord’s Day in both Old and New Testaments?  The seventh day of the week, the Sabbath, NOT the first day of the week, Sunday. In no other area of human endeavor is Satan’s blinding power more obvious than in his deceptive working to deceive unsuspecting men and women to abandon God’s seventh day eternal Sabbath for Sunday observance!  This is the one error where Satan has been able to unite almost all, but not all, professing Christians to come to agreement, from Roman Catholics to Reformers, from Amish to Baptists, from Pentecostals to Presbyterians.  Satan deceives multitudes into thinking Jesus was resurrected on Sunday, when the scriptures clearly reveal that when the women got to the tomb of Jesus while it was yet dark they found Jesus already gone!  And the scriptures also plainly show that He had come out of the tomb at sunset the day before, as the preceding Sabbath came to a close.  Of course He was gone when the disciples arrived at the tomb Sunday morning.  He had been resurrected roughly twelve hours before!!! Do you want to know who hears and acts upon Christ’s voice more quickly than Christ’s “sheep?”  Christ’s under-shepherds, those chosen and anointed by Him to teach and instruct and guide the sheep.  Since they are the ones Christ will use to instruct His sheep in the truths of God’s Word, they must come to know and understand that Word rather quickly.  Those “pastors” who have little or no true comprehension of God’s Word have merely chosen for themselves what they see as an honorable profession or a career or job that will provide them with much security and a rather easy life.  And they do immeasurable harm to the body of Christ, His church.  And they will answer to Him someday for their insensitivity and careless actions.

What kind of Good Shepherd would Christ be if He ordained men (and women?) to guide and instruct and care for His sheep who differed with one another dramatically in what they believed and taught?  One teaching this doctrine and another teaching the exact opposite doctrine!  This thought alone ought to be convincing evidence that many pastors, preachers, reverends are merely self-appointed representatives of Jesus Christ.

But the sheep also have their responsibility to “prove” all things of a spiritual nature, to come to know God’s Word on their own intimately well, to live submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and to strive diligently to please the Lord in every area of their lives.  Deceived believers bear great responsibility in having been so deceived.  God have mercy on the careless believer who fails to submit themselves to total, continual obedience to Jesus Christ and God’s Word.  They may find themselves quaking in their shoes at the judgment of believers.

When the Lord kneeled down and breathed into mother Eve’s nostrils the breath of life her heart beat its first beat, and her body began to warm. Slowly her eyelids fluttered and, opening her eyes, she beheld a world utterly and totally foreign to her. Her brain cells held no memories at all – none! She had no expectations, no memories, no beliefs. Had God not worked an instant miracle on her brain the moment He created it she would not have had the power of speech. He had to instantly imprint upon her mind speech patterns and the instant ability to understand and articulate speech, the language she and Adam would employ for the remainder of their human existence. But her vocabulary at that moment would have consisted of no words – none. Again a miracle was worked by God within Eve’s brain. Each word she now heard from God, Adam, or any other being would be the very beginning of her education and her understanding. 

So, too, is the condition or situation of each and every human being when first making vital, life-changing fellowship with the Eternal, our Creator.  Oh, we have memories alright and are quite familiar with the world we live in.  We do have expectations and beliefs – most erroneous or ill-formed.  God must make of us a new creature formed in His likeness and having His mind set from a tainted and severely warped mind and personality.  Scripture calls all such babes in Christ.  (See I Peter 2:2).

The prophet Isaiah discerned this truth quite well when he wrote, “But now, O Lord, you are our father; we are the clay, and you our potter, and we ALL are the work of your hand” (See Isaiah 64:8)  Is it obvious your Creator is at work in your life and that you are being gloriously changed from day to day into an offspring of God?  (See Acts 17:22-29). 

The prophet Jeremiah observed something more, writing how the vessel was marred in the hand of the Potter.  “Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.” (See Jeremiah 18:1-6).  Prior to our genuine conversion we are all marred vessels desperately needing the Master Potter’s continuous fashioning of our lives.  Salvation is not a one time experience we can point to that occurred on a given date and at an exact time.  We CAN say at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning August 6, 1976 I surrendered my life to our Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized that very hour, and on that date I was justified.  We cannot say though that at that very moment we were saved as our sanctification is as much a part of our salvation as our justification.  We can say at that moment we became a begotten child of God.  We speak gross error if we say at that moment we were born again for we are born again by our resurrection from the dead, a yet future event.

The shunning of the Hebrew scriptures, containing God’s foundational truths, is the cause of this present state of affairs in the various churches. Hosea the prophet states quite clearly that the place of the breaking forth, or birth, of children to God IS THE GRAVE – not the baptismal waters!  (See Hosea 13:13-14).  Had Nicodemus understood Hosea’s writings he would not have been surprised when Jesus told him, “You must be born again!”  Jesus went on to say that what is born of the flesh is flesh, but what is born of the spirit IS A SPIRIT BEING, no longer flesh and blood, no longer human.  (See John 3:1-10).

Folks, Satan has done a marvelous work and wonder of deception upon Christianity, and he began that deception the moment the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees learned that Peter and his companions were teaching the people that Jesus Christ had been resurrected from the dead.  (See Acts 4:1-3).  And he continues that deception to this very hour.  God help you to understand.
