Scripture sets aside ONE PARTICULAR DAY as a day to be held sacred and from which to rest from our labors and meditate upon the things of God. Jesus said HIS sheep listen to HIS voice and follow HIM. He then leads them out of error and into the truth. Satan deceives the masses into embracing and holding to error. Those deceived by Satan not only walk in error, they ridicule the truth and refuse to be subject to the truth. They will not listen to the truth. Their spiritual guides will even instruct them to turn a deaf ear to what is really the truth, warning them that it is clever deception.

I judge no man or woman. Jesus Himself will judge us all someday. He knows our hearts. He knows exactly what we see and understand. He knows every influence that has played a part in either enlightening us or leading us into error. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Scripture even warns us against deceiving ourselves. The apostle Paul wrote: “Examine YOURSELVES whether you be in the faith (determining whether you really have God’s Spirit and are truly converted and not just a bit religious). Prove your own selves. (Don’t wait until Jesus Christ has to do it at the judgment). Know you not your own selves how that JESUS CHRIST IS IN YOU, except you be reprobates (falsely converted)” (2 Corinthians 13:5).

That’s the “litmus” test, you might say – that’s what determines once and for all whether we are truly one of Christ’s sheep. Is it evident that Jesus Christ’s character is emerging more and more in your life, your speech, your actions, your thoughts. If the evident answer is, “YES!” Then we are one of His sheep. If the evident answer is “I’m afraid not,” then we are NOT one of His sheep regardless of how nice a person we might be or how religious we are.
