“YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS!”
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” (Acts 2:17).
Either we are living in the last days or we are not. Either God’s Word is true or it is not.
It is now 4:37 a.m. I awakened from a very realistic and troubling dream over an hour ago. In that dream I saw what appeared to be all the military brass from the various military branches of this nation gathered together in a great auditorium. I then saw a room where over the door of that room appeared the words “War Room.” The door to that room opened and I observed that it was a tiny room with but one object of furniture, a small table. On that table lay one object – a slingshot. The meaning of the dream flooded my mind. When God’s hand of blessing and protection is removed from a nation, it matters not how great is that nation’s military might and preparedness. That nation is essentially defenseless.
When one considers the length of time spoken of as the “last days” in light of the length of time that has passed since God first inaugurated time many thousands of years ago, then the last days might well be a century or two, not a handful of years!
I am seventy-six years old. I rarely remember my dreams. Within seconds of awaking, my dreams drift swiftly into the mist of forgetfulness, but I remember that dream quite well. (Note: I am now 82 years old. I had the foregoing dream Sunday, April 28, 2019).
