ODD BEDFELLOWS
JESUS’ WORDS FEW BELIEVE!
The longer I live, and the more times I read the holy scriptures – all of them, from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, the more I realize that Satan is a stark reality, and that he has indeed deceived the whole world (Revelation 12:9), including most professing Christians. He is an absolute master at his craft, working his deceptions with the utmost zeal 24/7. With each passing day I understand more fully why Jesus said, “Narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:14). Jesus said at the judgment MANY, not the few, will contend with Him face-to-face that they were indeed His followers, even ordained by Him to preach, and did many wonderful things in His name and with His blessing and help only to hear Him say, “I never knew you!” (Matthew 7:22). Those are some of the most astounding and frankly chilling words Jesus ever spoke during His thirty-three years on this earth! And yet Christian after Christian and preacher after preacher will read those words confident Jesus was speaking of “the other guy” – not them.
We have this life, and this life only, to get it right. And since a single tomorrow is never promised us, this life we enjoy could end at any moment. Over and over again God’s Word emphatically declares that we must abandon all sin in order to really understand the scriptures. Few do so. That is why precious few really understand the scriptures and are so quick to embrace false doctrine and hold to that false way all the days of their human existence. See Daniel 9:13 and 2 Peter 1:5-8 and Colossians 1:21 and Ephesians 4:20-24, etc. Every time a believer sins they give Satan an ever greater toe-hold into their mind and thinking. “SIN NOT…neither give place to the devil” (See Ephesians 4:26-27).
The preacher that says a believer can never really break with sin and obey His Lord, who said, “Go, and sin NO MORE” has been duped by Satan and is unwittingly acting as Satan’s agent.
God help you to understand is my prayer.

GOD LEFT THE GATE OPEN!
Satan cannot really thwart or prevent the will of God from being accomplished. He can only go as far as God allows and work his deceptions only for as long as God allows, and God has a great plan and purpose and reason for allowing Satan to even exist and perform His evil work in this present age. Satan didn’t sneak in the back gate in the Garden of Eden. God left the gate open for a good and wise purpose. God permitted Satan to tempt mother Eve. God can seal off any portion of earth, heaven or the universe against Satan the devil. God could pronounce sentence and have Satan reduced to a bit of dust at His feet in a millisecond. God has great purpose in allowing Satan to exist and continue his work among men. God is actually using Satan to accomplish His purpose and will for mankind.
Look at it this way, three things are absolutely necessary for building a strong, healthy body: 1) proper nourishment, 2) time, and 3) a force pulling against one’s muscles in order to increase their size and strength. And that is exactly what God needed in order to build His own spiritual character in human beings. He needed the proper nourishment supplied by God’s Word. He needed time. And He needed a force pulling against the will of man so that through process of time with the proper nourishment His sons and daughters would begin to consistently make the right choice and pull away from the influences and temptations put forth by Satan the devil.
The entirety of scripture is given to us by God to enable us to formulate true doctrines, teachings and beliefs. Paul clearly stated in the Roman letter that whatever was written previously by the prophets was written to instruct new covenant believers! (See Romans 15:2-4). Peter stated clearly in his first epistle that the Old Testament prophets wrote what they wrote primarily for OUR learning and instruction. (See I Peter 1:10-12). “ALL SCRIPTURE is given by the inspiration of God AND IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE!” (See 2 Timothy 3:16). Those who use only the Greek scriptures (the New Testament) to discern the will of God will never be able to do so. Few realize that it was many years after the founding of God’s church on the Feast day of Pentecost in 31 A.D. (some say 33 A.D.) before the first apostolic letter was written. For several years the early church had only the Hebrew scriptures and remembrance of Jesus’ words to guide them in establishing their doctrines and practices. God help you to understand.

“IF WE SAY WE HAVE NO SIN…..”
The Gnostics were First Century individuals who infiltrated Christianity with blatant heresies that still today influence the beliefs and doctrines of many denominations of Christianity. The apostle John addresses a couple of the gnostic heresies in the first chapter of his epistle 1st John. The Gnostics did not believe Jesus actually had a flesh and blood body, but only appeared human while manifesting himself in a spirit body. John exposes this error in the very first verse of I John 1, writing “That (life or being) which was from the beginning, which we have heard, WHICH WE HAVE SEEN WITH OUR EYES, WHICH WE HAVE LOOKED UPON, AND OUR HANDS HAVE HANDLED… declare we unto you” (See I John 1:1-3). John insists Jesus was a real human being, who could be touched and handled, not an illusion or apparition.
Beginning with verse 6 of I John 1, John addresses another heresy embraced by these Gnostics. Gnostics taught a believer’s sins had no relevance as to that believer’s spiritual state or condition. Writing of this belief held by the Gnostics, Irenaeus (Second Century Greek bishop of Lyons, France) said, “as gold deposited in mud does not lose its’ beauty, so they themselves, whatever may be their outward immorality, cannot be injured by it, nor lose their spiritual substance.” John countered this demonic argument writing. “If we say that we have no sin (while sinning and continually giving in to the pulls of the flesh), we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us….If we say that we have not sinned (while continuing to sin daily), we make Him (our Lord) a liar, and his word is not in us” (See I John 1:8-10).
And what does John write in the very next verse? “My little children, these things write I unto you THAT YOU SIN NOT!” (See I John 2:1). John further writes, “He (Jesus Christ) appeared so that he might take away our sins” not just pay the penalty for sin, but to TAKE AWAY our sins! (See I John 3:5). “No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.? (See I John 3:6).
Modern Christianity is bursting at the seams with false converts – men and women who the master deceiver has duped into following that “other Jesus” the apostle Paul warns us about. That counterfeit Jesus has no power to deliver his followers from sin. In fact, that other Jesus actually uses his deceived ministry to teach his followers he has no intention of delivering them from sin and that all his father sees when looking at them is the purity and righteousness of Jesus Christ. He sends forth “another spirit” and proclaims “another gospel.” (See 2 Corinthians 11:1-15). God help you to understand is my fervent prayer.

MUSTARD SEED FAITH
- “And the apostles said unto the Lord, ‘Increase our faith.'” (See Luke 17:5). Jesus answer was quite revealing. Here is His answer: “And the Lord said, ‘If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea, and it should obey you.'” (Luke 17:6). Now since the mustard seed is a very tiny little seed some have falsely concluded that Jesus was saying it only takes a little bit of faith to produce a miracle. But that’s not what Jesus was saying at all. He was alluding to a different characteristic of the mustard seed, not its size.
The most astounding feature, or attribute, of the mustard seed is its hardiness, its ability to endure under the most difficult conditions. It can lack water or moisture of any kind for long periods of time. The sun can beat down on it unrelentingly. The temperature can drop and the weather turn bitterly cold. Still, the mustard seed once it has begun to sprout will continue to grow in a prodigious fashion. And, at last, a mustard plant will grow so large that Jesus said the birds of the air will come and lodge in its branches. (See Matthew 13:31-32). So, do you feel you need more faith in this trying time. Take Jesus’ advice – just hold on, just keep believing. Have faith in God.- Christ’s Aged Servant (Galatians 1:10-12),

Nigerian bishop testifies before House committee, detailing ‘Islamic agenda to homogenize Nigerians’
Apr 17, 2025 11:00 am By Christine Douglass-Williams8 Comments
Bishop Wilfred Anagbe said something of immense importance: that “the quest to Islamize the land appears high on the agenda of some of the powerful and influential Muslims in Nigeria, noting that there is a campaign to take land to spread Islam.”
Every jihadist on the face of the earth, from Nigeria to the Middle East and elsewhere, kills to “take land to spread Islam,” and they also use other deceptive and manipulative means, if they’re not murdering people outright. This has gone on for over 1,400 years, but remains unrecognized by the willfully blind, many of whom are afraid to offend Islam.
As genocide continues in Nigeria, the world turns a blind eye.
Days ago, Fulani jihadists slaughtered dozens of Christians as Easter approaches. During Christian holy days, persecution ramps up, as it does during Ramadan, when the reward for murdering infidels (martyrdom) is deemed to be greater.

“Bishop Anagbe, in DC testimony, warns of ‘Islamic agenda to homogenize Nigerians,’” Catholic World Report, April 15, 2025:
Concerns over the safety of Mgr. Wilfred Anagbe, the Bishop of Makurdi in Nigeria, and Fr. Remigius Ihyula are growing after the two men testified about the persecution of Christians in Africa’s most populous nation.
On March 12, 2025, the Nigerian prelate testified before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, detailing what he called the “egregious” violation of human rights in a country that has become “one of the most dangerous and insecure places for Christians.“
He fingered militant, Islamic Fulani herdsmen whom he described as terrorists “destroying society.”
“They steal and vandalize, they kill and boast about it, they kidnap and rape, and they enjoy total impunity from the elected authorities.”
He said the target of these attacks is mostly Christians and, to a lesser extent, moderate Muslims.
Nigeria, with some 238 million inhabitants, is nearly evenly divided between Christians and Muslims. But Anagbe sees a nefarious plan by those in power to turn the country into an Islamic state.
“Islamist extremists are fiercely contesting the possession, control and governing law of the land, especially in the country’s northern and central regions, the latter of which is where Benue is located,” he told Congress.
“A long-term, Islamic agenda to homogenize the population has been implemented, over several presidencies, through a strategy to reduce and eventually eliminate the Christian identity of half of the population,” Anagbe said.
He explained that the Islamization strategy includes both violent and non-violent actions. These include the exclusion of Christians from positions of power, the abduction of Church members, the raping of women, the killing and expulsion of Christians, the destruction of churches and farmlands of Christian farmers, followed by the occupation of such lands by Fulani herders…..
