• “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door! ”  Those are the words of Emma Lazarus written at the base of the Statute of Liberty in New York Harbor.

  This nation is trillions of dollars in debt when we ought to have an enormous surplus in our treasury.  We ought to have the words of Emma Lazarus etched in bronze at every port city in this country.  America, what happened?
  It’s Payday Someday, friend.  The Ten Commandments weren’t just banned from our public schools in 1980, the Eternal Creator and Giver of all life was shunned and barred from the American way of life.
  
  Those who think the natural order of cyclical devastation and disaster accounts for all the weather phenomena and various catastrophes we see playing out day by day across this nation are in for a rude awakening.  The average Christian dwells more on the government of man than on the kingdom of God.  It is this present life and world that holds his, or her, interest – not eternity and the gift of immortality.

  It was a far different mindset held collectively by the citizenry of this great nation when in 1903 the words of Emma Lazarus’ sonnet were inscribed on a plaque inside the base of the Statue of Liberty.  I wholeheartedly agree that immigrants should be vetted and allowed to enter this country only at pre-approved ports of entry.  But the invitation to “Come unto us all ye that labor and are heavy laden” should never be repealed.  After all, we are all immigrants or descendants of immigrants save only for the various American Indian tribes.

The verse I now quote is what I call a classic. It is a scripture many preachers will quote to substantiate their belief that once a person dies they are immediately judged and then sent pronto to heaven or hell.

“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27). Now here’s the way many read this verse, or at least this is what they THINK it is saying, “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the immediate judgment,” or “after they so die they are immediately judged.” But the verse doesn’t say that at all. All the writer of Hebrews is saying is that NO ONE is appointed by God to die the second death. No one is predestined to go to hell. ALL born human will have at least one grand and golden opportunity to repent of their sins, submit themselves to Jesus Christ as their Lord and be granted eternal life.

I just watched a video on YouTube where Billy Graham gave the popular, but erroneous, interpretation of Hebrews 9:27. And he said once someone dies they go immediately into God’s presence and are judged right then and then sent immediately to hell or invited to enter into heaven and enjoy all its splendors.

The second great mistake many make is when they ASSUME the “judgment” spoken of in that verse is the time of judgment where one is judged for his, or her sins, or judged as to their Christian walk and granted rewards, if saved, or consigned to hell if lost. Billy Graham also said that, if lost, this judgment one faces immediately upon dying is to decide their place in hell. He didn’t expound any further after making that comment, so I don’t know if he meant who gets the lowest place in hell, or who gets the hottest place in hell, or who suffers the greatest torment. Billy Graham said lots of things without scripture support for his beliefs. He said that when he died an angel would take him by the hand and escort him immediately into God’s presence. No scripture says such a thing, yet Billy believed it – and Billy was America’s pastor. He ought to know, right? Well, he ought to have known better is what he ought to have known.

The judgment spoken of in Hebrews 9:27 is the same judgment spoken of in many other texts throughout the scriptures. “The meek will He guide in judgment, and the meek will He teach His way” (Psalm 25:9). “He (God) loves righteousness and judgment. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord” (Psalm 33:5). And note carefully the divine revelation given in these seven short verses of Psalm 67: “1) God be merciful unto us, and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us; Selah. 2) That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among ALL nations. 3) Let the people praise thee, O God, let ALL the people praise thee (the Mayans, the Aztecs, the Babylonians, the Assyrians – ALL people). 4) O let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for thou shalt JUDGE the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. (Note well this time of judgment is when Satan has been bound and God Himself is governing the entire planet – all nations). 5) Let the people praise thee, O God, let ALL the people praise thee (nations formerly embracing Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, atheistic, etc.) 6) THEN (yes, then after Christ’s return and God is governing all nations) shall the earth yield her increase, and God, even our own God, shall bless us, AND ALL THE ENDS OF THE EARTH SHALL FEAR HIM.”

How about the people the prophets Elijah and Elisha raised from the dead? Didn’t they die TWICE. And how about the people Jesus raised from the dead? Didn’t they, after living somewhat longer, die again, dying TWICE?

Those who really don’t have a deep understanding of scripture, who don’t possess Spirit-touched memories whereby they can instantly recall each and every appropriate text will think some scripture is saying one thing quite clearly when that scripture is actually saying something diametrically opposed to their erroneous interpretation

New York City should be renamed New Sodom and Los Angeles should be renamed New Gomorrah!  Salt Lake City might well be called New Babylon.  Sodom and Gomorrah did not have one-thousandth of the light and understanding God has afforded all of America since the days of the settlement of Jamestown, Virginia in 1607.  For well over two full centuries this nation has been informed of how our Creator views the slaying of infants not yet born, as well as how he views the various and sundry sexually immoral lifestyles millions of Americans have adopted.

GOD JUDGES SIN!  If I know nothing else, I know that God judges sin by the hard and lengthy punishments I have endured in my own life.  Go to Sodom.  Visit Gomorrah.  Stand on the windswept desolate plains where those cities once stood, and listen to the words of warning that will echo through your mind: “God judges sin!”

America, your days of prosperity and peace are numbered – and they are quite few.  Every empire, kingdom and government on earth enjoys a time of rising and endures a time of falling.  America, your fall has now begun and great shall be your ruin when the fullness of God’s wrath is poured out upon you.

As I have been saying for years now: America, fasten your seatbelt because you are in for a very rough ride.  Covid-19, the forest fires, flooding and tornadoes!  Those are just the beginning of the devastation that lies ahead.  America has yet to see the one thousand year hurricanes that will reduce large parts of this country to utter ruin.

America, though you have forgotten God, He remembers you and warns, “I change not!”  Read the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel and contemplate the mind-boggling judgments God brought upon His beloved city of Jerusalem and Israel His dear son.  Yes, read the prophets, and with Jeremiah weep in light of what your Creator must hold in store for these United States.  Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth for their grave shall prove to be their hiding place from the horrors to come.

This nation is about to undergo its’ worst year of trials, tribulations and judgments since the founding of America in 1776.  God’s protection and blessing has been withdrawn from this country and the torture and killing of the unborn is just one of the abominable offenses that demand God’s undiluted punishments.  Men pretend to be women.  Women pretend to be men.  Men marry men and women marry women, and it is the law of the land.  His sacred Word has been spurned and ridiculed from the time of the founding fathers until now.  Men have changed His precepts and decrees for far too long.  Spiritual darkness is hailed as marvelous light and the people love to have it so.

America, 2024 will not prove to have been your worst year in decades.  You have yet to experience 2025.

Footbaths and prayer rooms – even streets temporarily closed off for Muslims to kneel and pray – believe me, that is just the beginning of the accommodations the U.S. Government, as well as other national governments, will make for the Muslims to practice their religion. It’s going to get worse – a lot worse. Sharia law and punishments will be adopted not just in city sectors predominantly Muslim, not just in certain cities with Muslim majorities, but throughout various nations, including America. And, of course, this will take time – a lot of time. Those Christians expecting to be airlifted to heaven without dying are in for a rude awakening. Lying in a hospice and feeling the effects of old age, many Christians will wonder, “What happened to the rapture??” I’m sure quite a few Christians who were beheaded in the Middle East probably thought, “Wait! I was expecting to be raptured!   Why is this happening?”

Those who allow preachers to think for them and decide for them as to what the scriptures teach are going to be mightily confused as to what the future holds for them in the coming decades. Many will die, having abandoned any semblance of living the Christian life. In fact, many will abandon Christianity and become dedicated followers of Islam. And, again, this will take time – a lot of time, but, friend, there is a lot of it left before we will reach that point when time will be no more. We are not living in the final generation that immediately precedes the return of our Lord. Generations before our own were absolutely certain they were members of that final generation. Their tombstones are so weather-worn as to now be almost unreadable.

Like the generations that preceded us in time, this generation will also live to see their parents die, their siblings die, even their children die. Then we, too, will breathe our last and return to the dust from whence we came. The next sound we hear will be that of a mighty trumpet blast and the command to “Come forth!” And so shall we ever be with the Lord. (See Daniel 12:1-4, 9-10, 13).

How I wish I could convey to other human minds the utter reality of the living, active, ever-present Jesus Christ. He is more real than any physical object the human eye might see. He is more real than any sound human ear might hear. He is more real than any material or physical thing the human hand might touch or feel. But He reveals Himself only to those who repent of their waywardness and sins and seek Him with all their mind, strength and heart. Over and over again through His inspired spokesmen, His prophets and apostles, He forthrightly, plainly declares that contact with Him will be accomplished in this manner only. Tens of thousands of preachers and priests woefully ignorant of this most basic FACT inform their hearers and followers that belief, mere mental assent alone, puts one in contact with their Creator and establishes an ongoing fellowship with Him. That is a satanic lie! Forget man’s opinion. Let God Himself tell you how to establish contact with Him: “And you shall seek me, and find me when you shall search for me with all your heart, and I will be found of you, SAYS THE LORD!” (See Jeremiah 29:13-14). “Let God be true, but every man a liar!” (See Romans 3:4).

Teenagers stirred by the emotional rhetoric of some tent revival evangelist in one of his city-wide meetings are no more “saved” than the cat that falls in to the baptismal tank at some Baptist church and frantically strives to get out and finally succeeds in doing so. “Whosoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has , he cannot be my disciple.” (See Luke 14:33). Jesus Christ must come first and foremost in the life of any professing Christian in order to have and maintain a legitimate relationship with the Lord. The Lord requires such concerted commitment as He knows how dedicated Satan is in his temptations to draw believers away from the Lord and back into the world. “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion , walks about, seeking whom he may devour” (See I Peter 5:8). How many of this world’s preachers continuously warn their congregations of that fact??

We are in one of the last generations at the close of an age. This planet and its inhabitants are in for a very rough ride in what lies ahead. The deadly wound dealt Islam long ago has been healed. Three hundred plus pedophile priests in Pennsylvania are only the tip of the iceberg. Thousands more are spread throughout America. One state might have only a few dozen, while a neighboring state will have many more than Pennsylvania. Roman Catholicism is in fast decline in both numbers of adherents and prestige. To save herself she will do what she has done so many times in the past, she will blend Islamic beliefs with Roman Catholicism. And she will abandon long held practices and dogmas. You might not live to see it, my friend, but it is as sure as tomorrow”s rising sun.

A word to the wise: “He that is of God hears God’s words!” (John 8:47).

MORE THAN FOUR-FIFTHS OF ALL JEWS LIVE IN BUT TWO COUNTRIES: ISRAEL AND THE UNITED STATES!  ISLAMIC TERRORISTS VIEW AMERICA AS A PRIME TARGET FOR COMPLETE AND UTTER DESTRUCTION.

“You (God) turn man to destruction, and (later) say, ‘Return (from the dead) you children of men’” (See Psalm 90:3). And the very next verse shows God’s summons to these dead to live again may not come for thousands of years,for the 4th verse says, “For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night (the passing of but a few hours).” And then verse 5, “You carry them away as with a flood; they are as asleep. In the morning (resurrection morn) they are like grass which grows up!” Did you ever notice how quickly the grass on your lawn grows back up after you mow your lawn? And with their resurrection comes ENLIGHTENMENT – not hell! How absurd to even think so! (Read Ezekiel 16 and Ezekiel 37).

Think for a minute: “By what means did God seek to save the world prior to Christ’s coming to earth?” I have always been a history buff and studied history at the University of Minnesota, my alma mater. The earth, the entire globe for the most part, was inhabited with hundreds of millions of human beings at the time of Christ’s birth in Bethlehem of Judea. Had you been born an ignorant peasant in Persia or an equally ignorant South American Indian tribesman at that point in time, how could you have taken advantage of the offer of eternal life in Christ Jesus??? In fact, what would possibly cause you to even think eternal life was a possibility for members of the human family? Even if creation were to have prompted you to think, “Do you suppose an intelligent Creator brought all this into being?” What on earth would then prompt you to think: “I’ll bet He (she, or it – you wouldn’t know, remember) desires a relationship with me??” And, let’s say by some miracle that thought popped into your head, how would you discern what steps must be taken to establish a relationship with your Creator? Do you sacrifice your firstborn? Do you bow before the sun each morning as it rises?

Jesus Christ did not appear on the scene until 4,000 years after Adam! If God has been trying to convert the world, what means did He use during that 4,000 year yawning expanse of time? What means did He use for centuries AFTER Christ when South America, China, Korea and Japan (as well as a host of other lands and countries) had not received their first missionary???

Few realize that God is bringing the offer of eternal life to the inhabitants of this planet in successive stages. He has a time-table for this great gargantuan work. The brevity of human life does not complicate or interfere with His plan in the least, for God has the mind-boggling power to resurrect the dead regardless of how long they have been dead. Why is it so hard for many to believe that God is going to give everyone who has ever drawn breath the greatest of opportunities to join the great spiritual family of God? Does anyone with reasoning powers really think that those ancient Chinese peasants and slaves who helped construct the Great Wall of China have already had their fair shot at inheriting eternal life? Many living today honestly don’t know who or what to believe! God knows how Satan deceives mankind, preventing them from seeing the marvelous truth in these matters. Many “preachers” and Bible teachers are themselves deceived in these matters.

The average gang member in South Central L.A. has no religious beliefs. Many can’t read beyond a 3rd or 4th grade level. Many die as teenagers! Do they, that is their “souls”, then descend into a fiery lake to be tortured for trillions of ages raised to the trillionth power?? Is THAT a loving Creator’s plan of the ages for the vast majority of mankind??? Do you see what I mean when I say that Satan is a master deceiver and portrays God as a fiendish monster?! (Satan’s distortion of Luke 16 – The Rich Man and Lazarus – is mind-boggling!)

It is a sad fact of human nature that most cannot change religious beliefs deeply entrenched in their minds, generally from childhood forward. A Lutheran child has about a 99% chance of becoming and remaining a Lutheran adult. Ditto for the Baptist youth, the Roman Catholic teen, the Mormon young person. Of course, the same holds true for their pastors and ministers. Rarely does a minister of one denominational persuasion abandon that particular denomination and become a minister of an entirely different denomination. Such are engulfed in their denominational beliefs as surely as the Buddhist is engulfed in his, or her, errors.

Many repent of sin. Few repent of error.

In the 20th chapter of Acts, the apostle Paul is recorded as telling the people of God: “Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men (with whom he had associated himself as a teacher of divine truth) for I have not shunned to declare unto you ALL the counsel of God” (verses 26 and 27). How few preachers today could utter those same words to their respective congregations in their dying hours. How dare I make such a charge? God has seen fit to bring me into contact with a host of various preachers, ministers, Bible teachers. ALL the counsel of God is contained in ALL the scriptures, yet how few of these men and women have any real grasp of the writings of the prophets – the prophets of God? To them Zephaniah, Nahum and Ezekiel are closed books. The same could be said for just about all the rest of the prophets.

It seems that many “preachers” seem to forget that “ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, AND IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (See 2 Timothy 3:16). Many will tell you point-blank, “I don’t get my doctrine out of the Old Testament!” To them, Christ would say, “Do ye not therefore err (and teach error), because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?” And, again, “Ye therefore do greatly err.” And, again, “Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.’ Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men, for laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men. Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition…making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered (to your respective congregations)…Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand.” (Stop letting your commentaries, etc. formulate your doctrine). (See Mark 12:24,27 and Mark 7:6-9, 13 and 14).

Many are profoundly ignorant of the FACT that the church of God is “built upon the foundation of the apostles AND PROPHETS, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone” (See Ephesians 2:20). Having removed the prophets from their doctrine, the building they – not God – have constructed is lopsided, utterly askew, sitting upon the foundation of that “other Jesus” the apostle Paul warned us about. (See 2 Corinthians 11:1-4).

When was the last time you heard a God-inspired sermon on the writings of the prophet Jeremiah? Think hard. For that matter, when was the last time you heard a sermon expounding the meaning of Haggai’s prophecies, or those of Obadiah or Habakkuk??? Long ago the Eternal God, through His prophet Jeremiah, cried out: “To whom shall I speak, AND GIVE WARNING, that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised (not open to receiving the truth of God), and they cannot hearken (due to their narrow-mindedness): behold, the Word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it (looking upon the writings of Ezekiel, Joel and Amos as cut and dried, undecipherable, uninteresting reading, having no relevance to them or God’s people of this era)” (See Jeremiah 6:10). To such “blind leaders of the blind,” God thunders this warning: “Woe be unto the pastors that DESTROY and SCATTER the sheep of my pasture! Saith the Lord…for ye have perverted the words of the Living God, of the Lord of Hosts our God” (Jeremiah 23:1, 36). God inspired Jeremiah to pen that grave warning, because of His foreknowledge of the fact that His inspired prophets messages would be perverted, distorted, or simply totally ignored. Something to think about, pastor!
